Second time around …

As a celebrant you get to meet people from all walks of life, with different personalities and various backgrounds.  Very often it is young couples who are madly in love, and so excited to marry, having never felt this way before.  Yet for some it may not be their first marriage.  Often that brings with it a sense of calm, a wealth of experience and a realistic outlook on marriage.

A second foray into wedded bliss can also mean there are other aspects to consider than if it was the first time around.  There may be children and other family members you wish to include in your celebrations.  As a Celebrant I have the flexibility to make that happen.  No time restraints, no set words to adhere to and the knowledge to get creative.

A recent couple I met with are both marrying for the second time and have children and grandchildren.  Ensuring everyone gets to play their part the brides grown up son will walk her down the aisle and a grandson will be ring bearer.  Another son will read a poem ensuring all the important people in the couple’s life has their role to play and feels like a part of the new adventure.

The beauty of a Celebrant led service is there are simply no rules.  YOU decide what happens and what aspects of a ceremony are important to you.  Forget what you think you know and let your imagination run wild… this is your day and it should be spent how YOU want it!
